ECO SPINE

Florida is dealing with a crisis known to be Sea level Rise and this is my proposal in efforts to try and repurpose and save some of Downtown Fort Lauderdale along the New River and Las Olas Blvd. To reduce flooding along the river and run-off into the city, I proposed a system of canals that branch into the cities fabric and integrated with a natural barrier of Mangroves and Salt water marshes which can absorb the overflow.
